In this role, you have the opportunity to

As a (Senior) Consultant Supply Chain & Operations Management you are responsible for generating profitable turnover through projects with (internal and external) customers.

You know supply chain and operations inside out as well as areas of procurement, product development/NPI, compliance/regulatory and sales/marketing providing a holistic view. You have the ability to motivate and guide change.

You are responsible for

  • Acting as a sparring partner at executive, managerial and shop floor levels, providing value through building winning solutions with clients and solving issues in the area of supply chain and operations management

  • Taking overall responsibility to shape and lead improvement programs/projects including implementation and achievement of sustainable results

  • Working alone or leading a team of consultants and client team members

  • Building and leveraging your customer network to convert opportunities into a profitable portfolio of projects for yourself and colleagues

  • Spotting trends in your client industries and combine these trends and new competences to continuously improve our service propositions

The department Industry Consulting at Philips Innovation Services is a dynamic group of approximately 70 consultants with a growth ambition. We work with leading clients in operationalizing their strategic ambitions in and across key areas of their business: Innovation, Supply Chain and Operations Management taking an integral approach.

The Supply Chain and Operations teams areas of expertise relate to supply chain and operations management in its broadest sense, like supply chain/industrial strategy and (footprint) design, planning and control, Lean/Operation Excellence, Industrialization and transfers, digital SCM/Operation/I4.0 and overall change and project management, as integral elements of business excellence.

We work with all Philips businesses worldwide as well as with non-Philips companies.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • You are a pragmatic, hands-on and seasoned professional or consultant with a Masters Degree in a technical, science, business or related discipline, with 10 to 20 years experience in the industry and a proven track record in the areas of supply chain management and operations

  • You have experience in shaping and leading supply chain/operational strategy and improvement initiatives and you have been managing and running operations yourself

  • Your consultative mindset, your customer-focused, communication- and service-oriented approach, and your ability to build trust give you a natural affinity with consulting. Consulting experience is an advantage

  • You are a motivated and self-propelling person with the determination to succeed and make an impact, having the maturity and self-confidence to operate at senior and executive levels as well as shop-floor levels.

  • As a strong and compelling communicator, you easily connect to your customers and the stakeholders. Combining conceptual thinking with a hands-on mentality, you are capable of delivering sustainable results through continuous process improvement, and you are able to inspire people, mobilize teams and guide change.

  • You have a wide network within your profession; you have the drive and initiative to be pro-active in acquiring of new projects. A proven track record of acquisition at new clients and of growing key accounts

  • You have project management experience and skills, and are capable of leading multi-disciplinary teams

  • You are a team player, open to new ideas and believe in a process of continuous learning in order to develop new competencies

  • You have excellent presentation and communication skills, and fluency in English

  • You are willing to travel up to 25- 50 %. You will be based in the NL/Eindhoven
