Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Drive the financial performance of the Integrated Supply Chain of Domestic Appliances (ISC DA), with a focus on the Procurement and Supply Chain activities.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will work with the Procurement and SCM Leader and their respective global teams to develop cost optimization and capital efficiency programs while improving customer service levels. You will co-develop and drive processes/tools that enable monitoring of such programs and will collaborate with teams across the globe to drive performance up via business transformation programs and continuous improvement initiatives. You support the realisation of the DA ISC strategy and go into detail on the financials to deliver actionable insights, identify opportunities and implement improvements. You also take responsibility for the internal control framework/procedures and compliance related to these functional areas.

This Finance role is a co-leader role to ensure the DA ISC Function meets its financial and non-financial commitments.

You are responsible for

  • Co-manage the DA Procurement and SCM Function to achieve financial and non-financial commitments (BoM/IMS savings, On-time Delivery, Accuracy of Forecast, Warehousing & Distribution Costs, Inventory, Productivity, Supplier on Time delivery, etc.),

  • Support strategic decisions by means of sound business analysis (business modeling, opportunity & risk assessments, scenario analysis, etc.),

  • Conduct business case reviews and support financial underpinning of “make-or-buy” decisions,

  • Develop, coordinate and drive the business planning process (Strategic Plan, AOP, FC) for Procurement and SCM in full alignment with Sites, Businesses, Markets and overall ISC,

  • Monitor the financial position of the Functions. Identify risks and opportunities to current financial commitments and take corrective actions where needed,

  • Provide meaningful insights with respect to capital/cash usage, costs, savings and productivity programs to come to actionable insights, based on a strong cooperation with centralized FP&A team,

  • Develop, coordinate and run the monthly Procurement and SCM performance reviews together with the Functional leaders, and prepare the report out (MPR) towards next level,

  • Manage the relationship with other Finance pillars, ensuring financial control and alignment across the matrix organization,

  • Support the Functional leaders to drive and implement standardization and harmonization of processes (e.g. S&OP),

  • Monitor and control Procurement & SCM financials and processes for compliance with accounting principles and internal control requirements (e.g. ICS/Sox). Develop and implement new policies and procedures when required and maintain proper financial documentation,

  • Support the ISC Finance Leader on other ISC areas like Manufacturing and Q&R and act as his substitute during absence.

You are a part of

The DA ISC organization that covers the Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Q&R activities within DA. The ISC Finance team consists of the ISC Finance Leader, 4 Factory Controllers and their respective teams. It is supported by a team of dedicated FP&A resources. The aim is to have an open and social culture where we actively support each other to deliver top quality Finance support.

In this role you will work closely with the Head of Supply Chain, Head of Procurement and key members of their respective teams. From a Finance perspective there will be a strong link with the FP&A Operations team, the Market, Business and Site Controllers and potentially Accounting & Internal Control functions (topic/issue based).

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Master’s degree in Business Economics, Finance or equivalent. Ideally followed by a post-graduate certification in Controlling/Accounting or equivalent like CMA,

  • 7-10 years work experience in progressive Finance roles in a multinational environment. Preferably in different places across the value chain and in different types of Finance roles (FP&A, BP and Accounting/Control),

  • Work experience in and/or a passion for “Operations” is a pre,

  • End-to end business experience and proven depth of financial analytics skills,

  • Ability to marry financial constructs with business knowledge and partner with general and functional teams. Capable to translate operational activities into financials and vice versa,

  • Confident “self starter”, eager to take the initiative and drive actions and improvements with Functional Leaders and other stakeholders,

  • Strong communicative and people skills, able to build bridges between people, understanding human dynamics as a key differentiator in creating shared success,

  • A change agent, who initiates, coaches and directs Finance colleagues and other stakeholders to or through change using effective communication and leadership techniques,

  • Entrepreneurial mindset based on an approach to take calculated risks in order to maintain speed,

  • Experience and affinity with “Lean” management and “Problem Solving” techniques. Attitude based on continuous improvement,

  • Ability to set priorities and cope with tight deadlines. Stays calm in turbulent times,

  • Advanced technical skills in MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, and analytical tools like Qlikview, Power BI, BW, etc. Knowledge of SAP ERP/BCS/FiCo, is a pre,

  • Fluent in English.
