Drectly reporting into the Global Purchasing & Supply Chain Director and a dotted reporting line to the VP EMEA the European Supply Chain manager in Waalwjik manages the regional supply chain team (4 planners / buyers), Logistics & Customs Manager, Customer Service Manager & QESH Specialst.


  • Lead the regional demand S&OP process, ensure updated forecasted information is present and align the supply & demand with other functions/departments in the organization. Lead the regional supply S&OP process to ensure production capacity & constraints are aligned with the demand S&OP.
  • Manage, coach, lead and develop the Supply Chain team to deliver all objectives and KPIs.
  • Manage inventory network optimization and inventory target deployment for region (including consignment stock in cooperation with Sales).
  • Manage the supply, distribution and fulfilment for all products coming into the region and distributed within the region and for all products exported from the region directly to non-regional customers or to other Company locations.
  • Drive MRP parameter & planning strategy, develop overall plan that prioritizes operations based on customer need and operations efficiencies and provide best practice deployment into the region
  • Drive the continuous improvement culture and push improvements making full use of our ERP system, SAP 4 Hanah
  • Through Customer Service Manager, ensure optimum customer service is always given, to maintain effective and constructive working relationships with customers, and to bring fresh ideas to enable the Company to deliver products to customers more effectively.
  • Work with all functions and regions to ensure supply planning & position is aligned to the service level targets, company strategy and sales challenges.
  • Ensure we have effective and efficient sampling process to target service level defined by Product Management.
  • Contribute to the planning process for introduction of new products.
  • Ensures accurate customer and product master data in ERP system.
  • Issue monthly SC report for region (actual vs. plan, address deviations and outlook/forecast)
  • Manage and review performance of third party (Logistic) service providers and ensures logistics services meet customer expectations.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions of all customer service and delivery-related quality issues within the region.
  • Support trade compliance by monitoring the changing country specific import/export regulations.
  • Manage the import duties for the region (including possible duty suspension).
  • Manage the dunning activities for past-due customer accounts.
  • Oversees the European (excluding Italy) support and advice in EU law- and legislation, Quality Management System, Environment, Safety & Health with the goal of minimization of company risks and proactive contribution to the professionalization of IGM's activities and achievement of company goals.
  • Support implementation of SAP / SAP analytics enrollment in the EMEA region; lead/drive optimization of the use of the system for supply chain related activities.
  • Initiate and manage supply chain process optimizations to further improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain function in EMEA
  • Design and implement supply chain projects within the region.


  • You have a Bachelor's degree or working level in Supply Chain/Logistics with at least 5 years of relevant working experience in the (preferably) Chemical industry in a Supply Chain role.
  • You have a proven leadership track record in engaging and motivating a team
  • As a person you are a self-starter, you take initiatives and you drive results, efficiency and are always focused on quality and improvement of work. You enjoy working in a team and you are eager to work in a high demanding, growing and global environment.
  • You have "hands on" experience with willingness to engage where and when it is needed
  • Project Management skills and ability to manage several projects at the same time
  • You are analytical and a problem solver and you have strongly developed project Management skills and the ability to manage several projects at the same time. You have an ability to zoom out and translate analysis into actions that drive the business forward
  • You are an excellent (English) communicator and have well developed social skills
  • Your knowledge, experience and skills in Excel, ERP Systems (SAP) and Business Intelligence systems are strong
