In this role, you have the opportunity to

Improve the factory logistics flows of the healthcare production site in Best. Besides that, you can develop your personal and supply chain skills and based on your proven drive and results, provide great opportunity to develop your career. As Logistic improvement engineer, you work closely together with the (operations) departments and with our logistic service provider (further announced LSP) to support with projects and improve performance.

You are responsible for

ensuring a smooth factory logistics flow by:

  • Supporting with implementation of factory logistic projects (e.g. new production flow integration).
  • Further professionalization of the factory logistics department at site Best.
  • Defining together with internal and external partners improvement plans to optimize performance of factory logistic flows (Inbound receiving/ storage/ replenishment/ merge/ packaging/ outbound transport and stock control).
  • Supporting Team lead with account and performance management by leading the monthly review meetings with our LSP.
  • Support with analyzing performance of the LSP and setting up new or redefining of current KPI’s.  

You are a part of

You will be joining a team of four employees and work in the department Factory Logistics, which is responsible for warehousing and distribution of the medical systems factory in Best. The department is part of the Best OMM (Operations Material Management) organization. The factory logistics department is responsible for managing warehousing and inbound transport at Site Best. In Best, X-ray equipment and MRI scanners (among others) are produced, distributed and installed throughout the world. You are working in a dynamic environment, where flexibility, adaptability and persistency are key.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor or Master in a relevant field of education (e.g. Supply chain management).
  • 3-5 years relevant working experience in Supply chain at an international manufacturing company, preferably warehousing/Logistics. 
  • Strong communicator in both English and Dutch.
  • High proficiency level in Microsoft excel and access.
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with Lean.
  • Good communication skills to engage with multiple teams, stakeholders and organizational levels.
  • Self-starting, independent, pro-active, make-it-happen mentality, able to get things done from people and remains persistent until the goal has been reached.
