Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

be at the core of driving operations performance management via the execution and standardization of key FP&A SCM processes, to support the FP&A finance transformation roadmap and own harmonization and improvement projects within the SCM operations domain. You will be responsible for the planning and analysis processes for total Health Tech Integral Warehousing & Distribution (IWD) cost, and supporting and partnering with the SCM management in driving IWD performance, with meaningful analytics and active participation in projects and strategic transformations. In addition, you will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the global FP&A community for all IWD planning and reporting topics.

As finance representative in the HT IWD team, and partnering with Group SCM Controller:

  • Responsible for financial planning processes (Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Forecast) and preparation of monthly performance reviews of IWD cost within Health Tech, across all businesses and markets, and report out to SCM Management
  • Support Group SCM/IWD team and BG Operations to deliver annual performance targets for IWD
  • Support the Hoshin initiatives and productivity programs of Group SCM/IWD management with finance expertise, using scenario analysis and business cases
  • Perform detailed business analysis on IWD cost developments and provide actionable insights to enable corrective actions and/or savings initiatives.
  • Using an internal network with strong links with Operations Business Partners and managers in Businesses and Factories and peers of the Operations COE to have fast and sharp business support;
  • Acting as the liaison between IM&S F&D (procurement), Group SCM/IWD and BG Operations lead / BP on savings initiatives, savings reporting (approving) and corrective actions.
  • Responsible for all financial processes and control framework around the TMS system Optilo

As SME (Subject Matter Expert) / BI (Business Interpreter):

  • Delivering actionable forward-looking analysis & insights for decision-making and value creation by taking ownership of lean and efficient processes.
  • Responsible for the reporting and analysis framework of HT IWD cost and for driving continuous process improvements, including driving lean and efficient reporting, and financial planning processes.
  • Act as first point of contact towards other FP&A COE’s, and finance business partners for all IWD cost related questions.
  • Support the implementation of new (finance) systems affecting FP&A SCM and be the liaison with FP&A FMS or others FP&A CoE’s for IWD processes
  • Contribute to the implementation of the Philips Finance transformation by supporting the harmonization of global operations processes and reporting

The HealthTech FP&A team is part of the Philips worldwide FP&A organization enabling a collaborative cross sector working, support and knowledge sharing. Within the FP&A team you will report to the FP&A Director, Ops SCM lead.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • MBA / CPA or equal qualification (RC/RA).
  • Strong working experience with progressive roles in Finance, FP&A, Controlling, FP&A functional management
  • Proven depth of end-to end business knowledge, financial analytics and strategic insight
  • Working experience in supply chain and or operations domain
  • Strong political acumen, with an ability to recognize organizational and business differences and work to effect alignments
  • Proven ability to marry financial constructs with business knowledge and to partner with general and functional teams
  • An understanding of and affinity with Philips ways of working, values, cultural expectations and norms.
  • Model Philips Leadership competencies and Finance ways of working
  • A change agent, who initiates, coaches and directs Finance staff teams and stakeholders to or through change – you are adept at implementations of change through effective communication and leadership techniques
  • Experience and affinity with Lean management
  • Ability to set priorities and cope with tight deadlines
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel. Knowledge of SAP (R3 FICO/BW) and power BI is a pre
