Retailers lopen meer dan een derde van de door klanten geplande uitgaven tijdens piekperiodes mis

Piekperiodes bieden retailers specifieke tijdelijke kansen om hun omzet te verhogen via slimme aanbiedingen. Recent onderzoek door Sapio Research namens supply chain-technologiespecialist Zetes geeft echter aan dat maar liefst 35% van de door klanten geplande uitgaven tijdens piekperiodes misgelopen wordt.

 

Dit heeft uiteraard ernstige gevolgen voor de resultaten van retailers terwijl voor deze periode juist veel moeite gedaan is qua planning en uitvoering om een zo hoog mogelijke omzet te halen. Maar waarom en hoe worden deze goede verkoopkansen misgelopen?

Efficiënt beheer van aanbiedingen is cruciaal voor een succesvolle piekperiode voor retailers. Uit het onderzoek blijkt echter dat maar liefst 40% van de klanten problemen heeft gehad met een aanbieding en dat daarvan 45% daarom besloot het product niet te kopen.
